I'm really into two design shows right now on HGTV. Both air on Saturday nights, which is not a time I'm usually sitting down to veg, so I have my dvr catch them so I can watch them during the week. Sarah Richardson HGTV Bio host's Sarah's Summer House at 8pm and an hour later comes Emily Henderson HGTV Bio Secrets From a Stylist. This is probably the closest I've come to cyber stalking someone...I follow their facebook pages, their tweets, their blogs, etc. I can't get enough. Sarah is no stranger to the design world, this is season three of her "House" series and I've watched rerun after rerun of her past two seasons. I love Sarah's expertize in pattern and textiles, and how she can spot a great deal at a furniture auction or antique store-like that-(finger snap). She has a talented and loveable sidekick, Tommy, who keeps me grinning all through the half hour show. Plus she's a new mommy, like me, and seeing her on camera in all her preggo beauty is too awesome to miss. Being Canadian also rocks as well.
Cute and bubbly Emily is also a joy to watch on screen. I was a huge fan from the very first episode of the last Design Star and knew she would go all the way to the end. I found out by reading her old blog (The Brass Petal) that we have alot in common: both from the Portland area, her birthday is one day shy of mine, she loves her cat, and she relocated to Cali-The Land of Sunnyness! Oh yeah, and she shops at Anthro my favorite store of all time.
She's so hot, how can you not stalk this girl? Only innocent stalking, not the creepy kind-I promise! :-)
If you do catch either of these shows, please let me know what you think and if you love them as much as I do. We can be HGTV Design buddies for life!

we are HGTV junkies too, especially lately, but we watch all the house selling/buying shows (house hunters, property virgins, first time home buyers, get it sold). I guess that is what stage we are at. Maybe we will shift to Sarah or Emily's design shows once we move and start decorating.
Megs-you are about to embark on an "empty slate", how much more exciting can it get than that! I can't wait to see how you use that awesome creative mind of yours and put it to home design use. :-)
